Letters recognition activity

Print out the printout below and file it with alphabet stamps or letters. Play with Preschool Children Each person should choose a different letter.

Then play tic-tac-toe as you normally would, but use the alphabet stamps or letters to play. So easy, so effective!

Letter discrimination

If you play with Kindergarten, first or second Grader Try to write one student in lowercase and another in uppercase. This is ideal for improving letter differentiation. Finally, you can make it extra difficult by using letters like lowercase b and d together - since these letters are so difficult for many children.

Note: Other ideas to play with include having children write their names or keywords.
