Homeschooling is hard. Being a working homeschool mom is harder. Here are inspiring Bible verses for the mom balancing work and homeschooling.
Moms are amazing! Waking up before everyone else, starting the coffee, trying to have a few moments of quiet time with the Lord before the house explodes with demands from the family and the tasks of the day. Breakfasts and sack lunches to make, children to dress for co-op, errands to run, house to clean, laundry to fold, dinner to make, and homeschool work to help with….all while holding down a 9-5 job. We’re pretty amazing!
But on occasion, the balance of life and keeping work and home happy gets overwhelming. And the last thing you and your family needs is a mom stuck in overwhelmed mode 24/7. Good work situations and healthy family relationships go hand in hand. If you are struggling with balancing work and home life and need a little encouragement, here are Bible verses for the mom balancing work and homeschooling. I hope they lift your spirits and improve your focus.
If you are looking for some wisdom and guidance for managing your work and home life, here are five Bible verses for the mom balancing work and homeschooling.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV
For me, if I do not make my quiet time with God a top priority, I feel it. I might be able to get by one or two days tops without the impatient, grumpy mom coming out, but it eventually will catch up to me. Making sure I read my Bible, pray, and worship God is vital in helping my days and schedule go much better.
Don’t let your feet hit the floor without asking the Holy Spirit to be with you and guide your day.
“Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 NKJV
Planning or scheduling your day can be a huge help in reducing some of the daily stress. Sitting down with your husband if necessary to work on your daily, weekly, and monthly schedule. Communication is key. For example, talking about who needs to pick up which child from the extracurricular or socialization activity helps keep both parents on the same page and equally helping to keep the family schedule running smoothly.
Be Warned! “Busyness” can be a stumbling block to your peace and overall family happiness. We let the stumbling block of busyness settle in our lives as we fill our days to the max with extra stuff to do instead of focusing on what God wants us to be doing.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV
When the day is long, and your to-do list is even longer, remember where your strength comes from. There will be hard days, crazy busy days, and when they come remind yourself that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You can do this, Momma. God believes in you and sees the incredible potential that you have to offer your family, home, and workplace.
“Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.” Psalm 39:4 NKJV
Remember life is short. Take time for that date night with your stud of a husband, take time to play on the floor with your kids, take time for the bubble bath, and take time to read a good book. Invest in your health by getting plenty of sleep, drinking lots of water, and eat decently.
Life is way to short to be in stressed-out mode all the time. Enjoy and be content with what God has given you and the people whom He has put in your life.
Find joy in the little moments of your everyday life, and soon you’ll have a joyful life.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8 NKJV
Pay attention to your thoughts. Do not allow yourself to be overcome with negative thinking. The enemy is quick to throw darts of discontent, worry, doubt, and lies our way. Do not accept them, and definitely, do not allow them any room in your thought closet.
Wrap yourself in God’s truth and His thoughts of you with these encouraging Bible verses. You can do this; you are a wonderful wife and mother. We all make mistakes, and we all will have a bad day every once in a while. That’s ok! The critical thing to remember is to give yourself grace. Pick yourself back up and learn from every bump in the road.
