Children Please select the President resource to learn how we vote for President of the United States

Print out all of the pages. Since there are two pages of the reader on every letter-size sheet, you need to cut out the reading book, cut each black and white page in half, and staple the free reader together with staples on the left to create a book.

TIP: If you want, you can also keep this reader together by placing a binding ring in the top left corner. This method can prove to be easier for children to complete each page.

Each page of this book contains four Elective activities for children.

  1. The first activity involves learning to read the short sentences in the book. I suggest that students first color in the pictures with colored pencils, markers, or colored pencils. Then work on reading the words together.

  4. Writing Elections Invite students to write what they would do if they were president.
